I am married to my beautiful wife, Megan and we have a daughter, Wren, and a corgi, Wendy. Other than my love for God, I love my family more than anything else and am so blessed that I am able to use the game I love, to be able to provide for them.
I started playing baseball when I was 6 years old. I took up competitive baseball when I was 9 years old and never looked back. In high school, I pitched and “played the corners”. I received a handful of honors during my high school career including being named to the All-State team and being 1 of 5 players in the state nominated for the Jim Thorpe Award.
I was a 4-year starting pitcher in college. I pitched for 3 seasons at Rogers State University and one season at Northeastern State University. I was part of the team that took RSU to their first ever conference tournament.
After college, I pitched professionally for 2 seasons in the independent minor league system before retiring and pursuing my business full-time. It was my years of playing experience that led me into coaching and now I am able to take the lessons I learned from almost 2 decades of playing, combined with my continuous research and study of the game, that give me the ability to help baseball players be the best that they can be!
It's great to see when kids finally “get it” and start experiencing for themselves that hard work does pay off. I love getting to be a good role model for them, being able to teach them about more than just the game of baseball. I love being able to make them better people, giving them little lessons about life that baseball has taught me. At the end of the day, that is my goal, to make every athlete that I come into contact with, a leader ON the field as well as OFF the field!
