Fun Fact: When he’s not on the baseball field, Tyler enjoys spending time hunting and playing golf.

Daniel Mackay

Daniel Mackay

Daniel offers instruction for all levels of Pitching and beginner levels of Batting.

I have been married to my wife, Beth, for 6 years and have three kids, Rilynn, Kinsley and Decker. I currently teach and I'm an assistant varsity baseball coach, going on year 11 of coaching at the high school level.

l've played baseball since 1 was 5 and moved to the competitive baseball world at 9, playing with and against a great list of baseball players from the state of Colorado. In high school, I was named to the Top 50 team as a junior and senior, and collected All-State accolades in both years as well.

After high school, I went on to play at Colby Community College as both a starter and closer on a team that went 40-20 and making a super regional for the first time in 4 years. I transferred to Washburn University where I ultimately hung up my cleats after an elbow injury in the fall.

After leaving the game as a player, I immediately got into coaching at my high school in Colorado up until I moved out to Oklahoma in 2020. Once in Oklahoma, I started coaching again at multiple schools including Collinsville and Rejoice Christian.

There is no greater feeling as a coach than seeing the product of what you are coaching, succeeding at a high level as well as in life. Whether it's players playing college baseball or professionally, or seeing players being genuinely good human beings, the feeling of helping them succeed is my greatest joy in coaching.
